Encore Resurfacing (used to be called "Encore Surfacing") has hundreds of great reviews on Angie's List...just look 'em up! Do these look like typical testimonials to you?! "From the beginning to the end, this job went very smoothly. It took 2 full days of tedious work. The end result is just amazing -- tile and tubs and floors in 2 30+ year old bathrooms look brand new! The odors and dust were at a minimum due to Stuart's good venting system. This man knows what he's doing and was very honest with us about possibly loose tiles....he discussed the situation with us up front and gave us the option for him to stop work on one tub. We let him proceed (and it turned out beautifully), but we appreciated his honesty, even though he could have lost part of this job. He was very nice to work with - very friendly and funny --- a pleasure! We will definitely call on him in the future, if needed!" After 2 previous attempts with DIY (that was peeling off) and some rust around the drain, Encore was able to completely refinish my bathtub in just a few hours. Very professional and excellent quality!" "Stuart is awesome. Where to start.... We originally had an appointment scheduled for about 10 days after our move in date. When I realized my wife would kill me if we were without a functioning shower for almost 2 weeks, I called Stuart back and basically begged him for something earlier. He gave up his weekend, working all day Saturday and Sunday, to complete our bathroom. I could not be happier with the quality of the work. I cant believe how everything looks brand new. I wish I would have called Stuart for my daughter's bathroom (which i decided to gut instead). He truly takes pride in his work and it shows. Stuart is extremely professional/courteous. We had just had the entire house painted and new hardwoods and carpet installed. He was careful to put drop clothes down and seal the bathroom to stop anything from escaping. He even brought me a sample of his BBQ brisket to try!" "Answered phone, scheduled appointment and showed up on time. Price was a bit higher because tub had been re-glazed twice prior and needed extensive prep. Tub looks great. He cleaned up and left place looking better than when he arrived. Will definitely recommend to anyone." "I found Encore on Angie's List and called Stuart on Monday about resurfacing two bathtubs. He was able to come out that Friday, and even though I had inadvertently given him incorrect information about whether the tubs had previously been refinished (thus creating more work for him) and he had to deal with (what I didn't know was) a leaky bathtub faucet, he was flexible, upfront about the cost increase, and got the job done in one day, even though he had to stay late to do it. The tubs look brand new and Stuart was incredibly responsive and easy to work with. I can't recommend him highly enough." "Stuart of Encore Resurfacing did a great job. Several years ago, another contractor reglazed my shower tile and tub and the earlier work was starting to look pretty bad. Stuart could tell right away what was wrong and what needed to be re-done. Apparently, the previous crew used caulking instead of grout on the tile in the shower. The caulking was rotting away. Stuart removed the old glazing and all of the caulk the previous crew used. He grouted the tile, recaulked areas that are supposed to be caulked (between the tile and tub) then reglazed the shower tile. He said the tub didn't need a new coat of glaze so he didn't do that and didn't charge for it. He communicated well before and during the job, did good work and was even friendly to my dog.
